Bend It Like Oliver

As I mentioned in my introduction page, I have a kinky tail and proud of it.  My daddy, who is obsessed with analysing everything, reasoned that while I was still in the womb of my kitty mamma I had my tail stuck between my leg, and it just stabilized itself this way.  But I say I am simply a lucky charm boy.  We read a story of another cat in Japan, and learned that my kind of tail is called "kagi-shippo" (hooked tail) and believed to hook a good luck, to himself also to the others around him.  So that explains everything, a fly boy like me, hardly a surprise, is it?

So take a good look at my cool tail, perhaps it will bring YOU a good luck, too!!! :-D

  4. Love the article and video focused on Oliver's beautiful tail! So love the kinks and how the black stripes go the lenght of his tail, then after the first bend they circle the tail, and with the last bend, black at the very tip. He still moves his tail, including just the tip with precision - very talented boy! His tail only adds to his preciousness!

    1. as I was telling Mapy above, it was one of his features that endeared me especially when I was reading the adverts Devi (his original mam) posted. Several years previously on our summer holiday we met a very friendly kitten who spent two days with us. As much as I wished I could I couldn't bring him home, but I clearly remembered he had a crooked tail as well, and this brought back the memory of the little guy, who also had the similar marking as Oliver :-) So I see the magic was at work long before we met, that we were destined for each other!

  6. I now have a clearer view of your kinked tail Oliver! I am fond of the stripes across it, very unique ;p Licia, I also realize for his size, his tail is not long..but that's what makes him extra special yes :-) *hugs*

    1. Indeed, short and stubby seem to be another characteristics of a bent tail! :-p At some moments it curls up tight almost like that of a Siberian Husky (a little bumpy though ahaha), it's definitely one of his significant special attractions!!! -- mamma Licia
