My joyous visit with the Vet. (Not)

I had the pleasure of another trip to our lovely vet Saturday, even if there was nothing wrong with me. Obviously we are going for a holiday again in a few months, this time a little further away to the next country, I think mamma said Austria. So I need to get yet another shot, rabies, and a microchip. Yikes, two jabs!!  Worse yet, I had to be kept waiting for 20 minutes because there was a dog in front of us already visiting with the doc. Just see how tormented I was while mamma made merry filming poor, trembling moi.

Ok, I must say the visit itself could have been worse, not like the time I had to stay there for 2 days with the IV stuck on my front paw when I had a problem taking a wee.  It went fairly quickly, but I was still not pleased as my mamma thought it funny enough to photograph me being rudely molested.  (She forgot her camera, but insisted on photoshooting with daddy's mobile.  That's why the photo is crappy.  Not worth being posted on a blog really, don't you agree??)

In any case, I am officially a CyberCat. Kinda cool, me thinks.... :-D

Oh, Oliver! Poor you, in that little cage. How I wish I could reassure you with a loving embrace, although you would probably not enjoy that. Never mind, just think how much fun you will have taking over an entirely new bed - in Austria!

    1. don't be silly auntie, I wish you were there to hold me with your loving hands while mamma was cruelly filming and photographing me!!! I would have very much appreciated it! Oh, our holiday ought to be VERY good!!!

  2. So many strange sounds at the vet - just look at those ears! Sometimes I open the gate and pet our baby while waiting at the vet, but he looks like he just might run out if that door would open!

I agree with Shannon on the wonderful new beds, pillows, and blankets to check out in Austria. Beats staying in a kennel all that time... :(

    1. We actually opened the cage to give him wee bit more space... I would have worried just as you do with any other cat, but notice how he is scrunched up at the back corner of the carrier in the first photo... he is just not the type to dash out into the unknown environment, at the best he would begin with tentative stretching of his neck and sniffing around, and a step after step in extreme slow motion... mamma knows his boy very well!! ;-) ... mamma Licia

    1. thank you auntie Ivetka!! Yes I wouldn't care for ending up in a kitty jail in Austria and not being able to come home with mamma, no, that's not good!! So I tolerated, but why humans make such complicated, silly rules!? Sigh!

    1. Oh yes Auntie, I was hauled out yet again 2 days ago to go to another veterinary office, to officially apply for the passport. Thank god all I needed was to show my face, they didn't do anything horrible to me.. it is now just the matter of waiting to receive my document!!! then I will be an official globetrotter!

    1. actually in my tense moment I was too busy being nervous and didn't notice anything coming inside... so let's say it was not as bad as the forecast after all, and now I am even cooler than before!

  8. oh yay finally Oliver got a microchip in, cool CyberCat indeed!! :-) I'm glad it wasn't painful for you and it was over in a blink of an eye hehee ;) It was all worth it for you to spend a fabulous holiday with mamma and daddy in Austria :D
Mamma Licia, I see Oliver kept quiet while in the carrier, although very alert and cautious of his surroundings. He wasn't so stressed that he pee-ed right?
Rocky would whine and wail nonstop so I have to take him out of the carrier and place him on my lap to calm him down. He would hiss at dogs who dared to come up to sniff him :)

    1. He WAS whinging loudly in the car, but as soon as we stepped into that scary place he became all silent!!! I was seriously worried about "something" leaking out from his hind-quarter, he did poo in the cage when we were about to take off for Firenze in February, somehow he freaked out much more than usual. This time no accident happened thank god!!
